“Fine Art that’s fun”… that’s the motto of Austin’s largest contemporary gallery, ART on 5th.  Gallery owner, Joe Sigel, came to Austin 10 years ago and saw the need for a contemporary gallery and so he introduced a collection with works by Picasso, Miro, Andy Warhol and others.  Since then, the gallery has evolved with Austin’s constantly changing tastes and now carries one of the largest collections of the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss, and frequently brings in a variety of Rock Art Shows featuring work by Jefferson Airplane’s Grace Slick, the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood, and Janis Joplin, among others.  Not only is ART on 5th Austin’s most eclectic gallery, it is also the only commercial gallery ever voted “Best in Austin.”  Offering over 6,000 square feet of both local and nationally known artists, ART on 5th prides itself on constantly introducing new artists and styles, both from Texas and beyond.
